Churches throughout Heywood are partnering with local schools and nurseries to present a special ‘out-of-lockdown’ Easter Egg Hunt.
Local children are busy making 19 decorative Easter Egg pictures that will be on display across the town.
Revd Sally Robinson, from St George’s, St James’ and St Margaret’s churches, said: “We really hope this is going to bring a smile back to people’s faces. Christians believe Easter is a celebration, all about hope and new life.
“This past year hasn’t been much fun for anyone. Many people in Heywood have been through a lot, and some are still living with hard problems or losing loved ones. When you’re up against it like that, anybody can start feeling hopeless.

Police are appealing for the public s help to trace a wanted man who has links to Rochdale and Middleton.
Lee Dove, 49, is wanted for failing to appear at Manchester Minshull Street court after being charged with an offence of rape.
Dove is from North Manchester with links to Moston, Rochdale and Middleton.

Northern has completed the initial refurbishment of its train fleet as part of the overall transformation programme being undertaken by the train operator.
More than 260 trains have now been through the first phase of refurbishment which has seen each carriage fully repainted and fitted out with new seating, carpet and lighting.
The final unit to go through the process, 158861, was completed at Arriva Train Care in Crewe last week and is now ready to carry Northern customers.
