CCTV captures man, 26, in shopping centre moments before his tragic death, inquest told
An inquest opened into the death of Cameron McGowan at Rochdale Coroners Court
A kind, lovely 26-year-old man died after falling from a shopping centre, an inquest heard.
Cameron McGowan tragically passed away after falling from the Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre on Yorkshire Street on the morning of January 18.
CCTV captured Mr McGowan going into the shopping centre alone, before making his way to a lift.
Emergency services rushed to the incident but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
An inquest into Mr McGowan s death was opened at Rochdale Coroners Court today (January 29).
A CORONER has expressed concern over the death of a a Dutch native living in Radcliffe after the 20-year-old battled mental health problems without the assistance of a GP. Gwen Oldekamp, was from Holland but had been living in Blackburn Street, and working for Booking.com, in Manchester in the time leading up to her death on Christmas Eve 2019. A full inquest into her death started yesterday on January 25 at Rochdale Coroner’s Court by senior coroner Joanne Kearsley, questioning several multiple different witnesses asking them about the lead-up to Ms Oldekamp’s death at her home. The court heard how Ms Oldekamp had been expressing suicidal thoughts and symptoms of depression to close work colleagues who recommended that she attend a walk-in centre for help with her mental health.
