(Shutterstock) EAST GREENWICH, RI The Rhode Island Department of Transportation s (RIDOT) project to replace the Division St. Bridge over Route 4 in East Greenwich has been paused again due to issues with a temporary bridge, reported NBC 10 WJAR. The temporary bridge, built to carry Division Street over Route 4 during construction, developed a dent in the metal arch over Route 4 southbound lanes last year. The contractor, Cardi Corporation, attempted to fix the arch, but were unsuccessful. The state has asked to see more design plans before the work continues and the contractor will be required to pay for the excess costs.
