The New Orleans Saints prevented a huge offseason need when they applied the franchise tag to free safety Marcus Williams before free agency began in March.
The Saints look set at safety in 2021 with Williams, veteran leader Malcolm Jenkins, and versatile star Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. However, Williams is only signed through this season and Jenkins will turn 34 and has already shown a drop-off in his coverage skills.

Syracuse Shakespeare-In-The-Park celebrated William Shakespeare’s 457th birthday with the announcement of its 2021-22 season.
Summer performances in Thornden Park Amphitheater feature a Trojan tale with romantic context and slapstick set betwixt Ephesus and Syracuse. Fall and spring performances at Community Black Box Theatre will take you from New York City to 16th-century England. Each show will run for six performances.

The 2021 NFL Draft is in the books, with Michigan continuing its streak of pro prospects.
The Wolverines didn’t hit the double-digit like last year, but had players selected by pro franchises between Thursday and Saturday. Of course, the list was highlighted by defensive end Kwity Paye taken by the Indianapolis Colts in the first round, pick No. 21 overall. There is also plenty of excitement within the Michigan fan base, and program, about freshman early enrollee
J.J. McCarthy, a former four-star, top-50 recruit nationally. J.J. was terrific as a mid-year freshman, and got himself all the way up to No. 2 [on the depth chart], Harbaugh revealed.
And then there is freshman
Dan Villari, who did not appear in a game last season. At 6-4, 227 pounds, Villari is a dual-threat quarterback with a lot of strength. Harbaugh said the Wolverines are experimenting with some of the things they can do with Villari, moving him around and finding a way to get him on the field.
