BUFFALO, N.Y. Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Eichel may not be on the ice for the team right now due to an injury, but he s still giving back to the community.
In honor of National Nurses Week, and Nurses Day, the Sabres captain honored the nurses at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center with flowers.
Flowers were delivered to more than 400 nurses at Roswell who help care for cancer patients. Included in the flowers was a note from Eichel, whose mother was also a nurse.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â In just 6 months, 40 men and women will take the ice for 11 days in an attempt to break the world record for the longest hockey game ever played.
Two teams of 20 will play hockey for 11 straight days. All these people come together to be 1 team with 1 goal: to shatter that record and do some serious damage to cancer.
Those involved will be raising money for Roswell Park®, Childrenâs Hospital, Make-A-Wish® and Camp Good Days.
