Two Males in Critical Condition, Shooter Killed, in Frederick
A 38-year-old U. S. Navy Hospital Corpsman entered a business in the Riverside Tech Park in the City of Frederick around 8:20 Tuesday morning and began shooting.
The shooter then got into a car and drove to the nearby U.S. Fort Detrick, where he was shot by personnel on base. When Frederick police arrived at the base, Navy personnel were administering life-saving procedures. The shooter was reported dead at that location, according to Police Chief Dwight Sommers.
The two male shot were flown by helicopter to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, which is part of the University Medical Center. They are both in critical condition, according to Sommers.

An active-duty sailor shot two adults today in Frederick, Md., before driving to a nearby Army installation and being killed by base personnel, Navy and local police officials said.
Police and military officials said Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Fantahun Girma Woldesenbet shot two Navy personnel at 8:20 a.m. inside a building in the Riverside Technology Park, though they did not comment during the afternoon news conference on any motive or speculate whether Woldesenbet knew the victims personally.

A 38-year-old Navy medic is dead after shooting two victims Tuesday morning at a business park in Frederick, Maryland, according to authorities.
Frederick Police Chief Jason Lando said during a press conference that his department received a call at about 8:20 a.m. of an active shooter at Riverside Tech Park.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered two victims with gunshot wounds. Both were flown by helicopter to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

State Police Investigate Shooting In Taneytown

(TANEYTOWN, MD) – Maryland State Police are actively investigating a shooting that occurred early this afternoon in Taneytown.
The victim is identified as Karlie Burkindine, 26, of Taneytown. Burkindine was transported to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for medical treatment.
Police believe the suspect, a juvenile, is related to the victim. He is not being identified at this time. Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation and consultation with the Carroll County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Shortly before 1:15 p.m. today, the Taneytown Police Department received a 9-1-1 call reporting the incident in the unit block of York Street in Taneytown. Officers responded to the home and found the victim with an apparent gunshot wound in her arm. The suspect had fled the scene.
