Roope Hintz was held out of Tuesday s overtime win against the Red Wings because of a lower-body injury, the Stars announced shortly before puck drop at American Airlines Center.
The center, who scored his first goal of the season in Sunday s win over Nashville, is listed as day-to-day. He just didn t feel great this morning, so it was the right decision to not let him play, Stars coach Rick Bowness said of Hintz after the game. We ll see how he feels (Wednesday).

DALLAS Ty Dellandrea is getting a great opportunity.
The 20-year-old forward, who was the Stars first-round draft pick (13th overall) in 2018, has been able to step onto the checking line because Blake Comeau has been out and dealing with the COVID-19 protocol. While it s only been two games for the versatile Dellandrea, he has definitely made an impression. This kid is full of confidence. We love it, said Stars coach Rick Bowness. He s a National Hockey League player.
