30 Percent Are Vaccinated In Ravalli County
Ravalli County Public Health Director Tiffany Webber said that 30 percent of those eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations have received at least their first dose of the vaccines available.
And, the Johnson & Johnson one-shot vaccine is again being administered by Public Health, following a pause due to concerns about side effects of blood clots. Webber, in a news release, said the FDA, CDC and Advisory Committee reviewed the available data about blood clots and determined that the risk was extremely low and that the potential benefits outweighed the potential risk to people 18 years of age and older.

Ravalli County Reduces Quarantine Times
Ravalli County Public Health has reduced quarantine times for many who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to Director Tiffany Webber. In her April 12 news release, Webber said that County Health Officer Dr. Carol Calderwood has approved adoption of two reduced times provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Of course, the original 14-day quarantine is still the best way to stop the spread of the disease. But, Webber and Calderwood say, since the COVID numbers have remained steady in Ravalli County, the two reduced quarantine times are now offered.
