34 New COVID-19 Community Cases In Tuolumne County

Sonora, CA – Tuolumne County Public Health is reporting 34 new COVID-19 cases in the county since the report on Monday. Of the 34 new community cases, 16 are hospitalized including 5 new hospitalizations, all who are unvaccinated. One previously reported case has been transferred to their home jurisdiction. There are 204 active cases a decrease of 12 from yesterday. Public Health noted at the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisor’s meeting this morning there were 15 currently hospitalized at Adventist Health Sonora including two on ventilators. The gender and age breakdown for the 34 community cases is 4 females and 4 males 0-17 years of age, 5 females and 4 males age 18-29, 2 females and 2 males age 30-39, 1 female and 4 ages 40-49, 1 female and 2 males age 50-59, 1 female and 3 males age 60-69, and 1 female age 70 to 79. New COVID Cases, Testing Site Announced, No Change In Local Tier Levels

Tier Status- Calaveras and Tuolumne remain in the Orange Tier of the State’s Blueprint for a safer economy. Mariposa shifted into the Yellow Tier last week on May 25th. The State released this week’s Blueprint update today with data for the week ending May 22nd. Tuolumne County’s Case Rate decreased slightly from 3.0 to 2.7, and the Test Positivity Rate is 1.4 from 1.6 last week. Calaveras is at a 3.9 Case Rate from 4.2 and has a Test Positivity Rate of 3.0 from a 4.2 percent, Mariposa remains at a 1.6 Case Rate and a Test Positivity Rate of 1.0 from 1.6 percent. 2 COVID Deaths In Calaveras, Tuolumne Has 10 New Cases

Covid-19 Regional Report Monday Tuolumne County Tuolumne Public Health reports ten new community cases since Friday and they all appear to be isolating. There is one resident with COVID-19 who is currently hospitalized. Active community cases increased to 49. Seven individuals have been released from isolation.  The new community cases are two boys under 17, a woman and a man age 18 to 29, 2 women and a man between age 30 and 39, a man age 40 to 49, a man age 70 to 79, and a woman age 80 to 89. Tuolumne County has a total of 3,960 cases split between 2,546 community cases and 1,414 Sierra Conservation Center inmate cases.
