As of 12 p.m., April 30, 5,047,169 partial coronavirus vaccines and 3,420,864 full vaccines have been received across Pennsylvania, according to the Pa. Department of Health. Totals do not include those administered by the Philadelphia Department of Health.
The state has reported that there are 1,151,005 confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania and 26,218 reported deaths from the virus. Friday’s totals represent an increase of 4,607 new cases and 39 new deaths.

53 Pa. counties have substantial spread of COVID-19, positive test rate drops for 1st time in 6 weeks

Pennsylvania’s positive test rate for COVID-19 has dropped for the first time in six weeks, Gov. Tom Wolf’s office said Monday.
The positive test rate for COVID-19 dropped to 8.6%, a decrease from 9.6% percent the previous week. The rate had been on the rise since late March, although it remained well below the peak of 16% in December.
“This week we saw a decrease in reported cases and a lower statewide percent positivity – which is encouraging news,” Wolf said in a statement. “We need all Pennsylvanians to stay the course. We need to get vaccinated, continue washing hands, wearing a mask and social distancing.”

The Latino Connection’s CATE mobile response unit (Community Accessible Testing and Education) is holding a COVID-19 vaccination clinic from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. today at Hadee Mosque on Division Street in Harrisburg.
The CATE unit is equipped to administer vaccinations through approved medical professionals who are on-site at each stop as the response unit travels around Pennsylvania.
“What started as a first-of-its-kind COVID-19 mobile testing and education initiative has shifted into overdrive with the launch of the COVID-19 vaccination tour,” said George Fernandez, founder and CEO of Latino Connection.
Mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic coming to Harrisburg

The COVID-19 Mobile Response Unit will be in Harrisburg this week to administer vaccines within the community.
Latino Connection’s mobile unit, called CATE (Community-Accessible Testing and Education), was used in the fall for a mobile COVID-19 testing tour and is now equipped to administer the Moderna COVID-19 vaccination through approved medical professionals, who will be onsite at each event, organizers say.
This is the first dedicated mobile vaccine clinic in Pennsylvania, according to organizers.
