Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre said no injuries have been reported in the incident.At around 7 p.m. on Saturday, Webre said deputies and detectives learned the incident began on the LA 182 north bridge spanning Bayou Lafourche. On the bridge, someone traveling in a red or maroon Hyundai exited the vehicle and began shooting at occupants in a gray Nissan Maxima, according to Webre. Webre said both vehicles then began traveling west on LA 182 toward Bayou Blue. As they were traveling west, additional shots were fired.The sheriff said they found the Nissan in Racelan

Authorities investigating Raceland shooting Detectives are investigating a shooting between two vehicles in Raceland Saturday.  Deputies were called out around 7 p.m. to investigate reports of a shooting involving two vehicles traveling through Raceland, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office said. The first shots rang out on the La. 182 north bridge over Bayou Lafourche.   Someone traveling in a red-colored Hyundai got out of the vehicle and began shooting at the occupants in a gray Nissan Maxima, authorities said. The two vehicles then drove west on La. 182 toward Bayou Blue and additional shots were fired.  Detectives later found the Nissan, which sustained damage from at least one round, the Sheriff’s Office said. Several bullet casings were also collected from the area. 

Suspect in Thibodaux shooting leads deputies on high-speed chase in Houma

A suspect in a Thibodaux shooting was arrested Thursday after leading deputies on a high-speed chase through Terrebonne Parish, authorities said.  Emmett Willie Carr Jr., 19, of Houma, is charged with aggravated flight, flight from an officer, illegal possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in the presence of drugs, obstruction of justice, criminal property damage, hit-and-run driving, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and other drug-related charges, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office said.    The pursuit began around 7:15 p.m. Thursday after deputies responded to a police bulletin regarding a suspect vehicle that was involved with a shooting that occurred earlier on Ridgeway Street in Thibodaux, authorities said.
