Quavo and Saweetie won’t face charges over their now infamous elevator fight that was caught on video. Prosecutors won’t be moving forward with any charges against either of the rappers.
According to TMZ, their cases were referred to the L.A. City Attorney’s Office, but thanks to shoddy evidence, they declined to file charges. Reportedly, despite the video that showed the former couple getting into an altercation in the vicinity of and in an elevator, it wasn’t like that either of them would be convicted of anything.
While their breakup didn’t seem to be amicable considering the shots hurled at each other, they clearly agreed on not talking to the cops. The authorities were interested in speaking to both Saweetie and Quavo about the incident, but that never happened.
Quavo and Saweetie are both off the hook in their infamous elevator fight.
Neither rapper will face criminal charges for the physical altercation that was caught on camera. According to TMZ, the L.A. City Attorney’s Office has declined to file charges. Due to insufficient evidence, there was no likelihood of a conviction for either party.
Surveillance video, captured prior to the couple’s breakup, shows them struggling over an orange Call of Duty case. Saweetie seems to take the first swing at Quavo before he grabs her by the arm and drags her to the elevator floor. She remains on the floor until the elevator eventually stops and she limps out.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro could now breathe a little easier. The
Jersey Shore star, who was arrested more than a week prior for alleged domestic violence, reportedly will not face charges over the case.
Prosecutors at the Los Angeles County District Attorney s Office were unable to pursue any further criminal action against the 35-year-old because they didn t have sufficient evidence. TMZ reported that the case has been forwarded to the L.A. City Attorney s Office.

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Police Department Tuesday will present the police commission its estimated $66 million plan to incorporate recommendations from three reports that found the department mishandled aspects of its response to last year s May and June protests against racism and police brutality.
The department s proposed recommendations include purchasing technology to analyze social media profiles to be used as intelligence and encrypted radios for officers to communicate privately.
The recommendations were met with opposition from the Stop LAPD Spying Coalition, which opposes the department gathering intelligence on protesters and the public.
