OXFORD ⢠A Lafayette County woman has been charged with stealing Christmas presents from a car on New Yearâs Eve.
Oxford police were called to Baptist Memorial Hospital - North Mississippi on Dec. 31 to take a report on someone breaking into a car in the parking lot and stealing several Christmas gifts. The investigation led police to Dana Diana Churchill, 44, of Waterford, who was arrested without incident on Jan. 22. The stolen property was recovered.
Churchill was charged with one count of felony auto burglary. A Lafayette County Justice Court judge issued Churchill a $10,000 bond, but the Mississippi Department of Corrections placed a hold on her.

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Oxford police arrested a suspect for an auto burglary that happened on Dec. 31, 2020.
Dana Churchill, 44, is facing auto burglary charges for allegedly breaking into a vehicle at Baptist Memorial Hospital and stealing several Christmas gifts.
Police arrested Churchill on Jan. 22 and returned the stolen items.
A Lafayette County Justice Court judge set Churchill’s bond at $10,000. However, the Mississippi Department of Corrections placed a hold on her.
OXFORD - A Kentucky man and an Oxford woman have been charged in connection with a series of house and car burglaries.
Oxford police responded to multiple reports of theft in the 800 block of College Hill Road on Jan. 14. The investigation led to the arrest of Ethan Christopher Pruitt, 20, of Louisville, Kentucky; and Savannah Clair Nagle, 20, of Oxford.
Pruitt and Nagle were each charged with three counts of residential burglary, three counts of auto burglary, and one count of credit card fraud. During their initial appearances in Lafayette County Justice Court, the judge gave each a $25,000 bond.
Additional charges will be presented to the Grand Jury at a later date.
OXFORD ⢠A Lafayette County couple has been arrested and charged with abusing their own children.
The Oxford Police Department arrested Brooke Anne Austin, 20, and Brodrick Alexander Rogers, 25, both of Oxford, on Dec. 14. A Child Protective Services worker notified a police investigator that the coupleâs children showed signs of abuse. A joint investigation ensued between OPD and CPS, resulting in the arrests.
Austin and Rogers were both charged with felony child abuse. During their initial appearances in Lafayette County Justice Court, bond was set at $20,000 apiece.
