A school in The Lonestar State would apparently like to add a local prep star to one of their future college football rosters.
Caemon Scott, who currently attends Lafayette Christian Academy, shared on social media on Sunday that he has been offered by Texas Wesleyan University, an NAIA school located in Fort Worth, Texas.
NAIA schools don t offer athletic scholarships, but they do offer spots on their respective rosters.
Texas Wesleyan competes in the Sooner Athletic Conference, in which they have been members since 2013.
A receiver, Scott helped lead Lafayette Christian Academy to a Division III state title in 2020, the fourth-consecutive state championship for the Knights.
Acadiana Defeats Alexandria in a Thriller to Win State Title
Once again, the Acadiana Wreckin Rams are Class 5A state champions.
Acadiana won its second-straight state championship on Wednesday night, defeating the Alexandria High Trojans, 35-34, in the Class 5A title game at Turpin Stadium in Natchitoches.
As they ve done this year, and throughout the years, Acadiana used a lethal rushing attack, while making a big defensive play at the end, to help lift them to the heart-stopping victory.
For the Wreckin Rams, the state championship is their sixth in school history, as well as the second for head coach Matt McCullough in his three years at the helm, who guided Acadiana to an 8-3 title win over Destrehan in 2019.
A local prep football standout, who will likely be heavily recruited over the next years, recently received an offer from a school in the Big Ten.
Jordan Allen, a defensive back who attends Lafayette Christian Academy, shared on social media on Tuesday that he has received an offer from Michigan St.
On Monday, Allen helped LCA to a 12-7 win over the St. Charles Comets in the Division III state title game, the fourth-straight state championship for the Knights.
Rated by 247Sports as a 3-star prospect, Allen is also ranked as the 22nd-best player in the state of Louisiana in his respective class.
