Lafayette Sheriff s Deputy Arrested; Youngsville PD Investigating

41-year-old Kevin Bourque, a deputy with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff s Office, was arrested on Monday for an off-duty incident. He was then placed on paid administrative leave pending an internal affairs investigation by the Sheriff s Office, according to a press release from them. The Youngsville Police Department is investigating the case as they were the agency who issued a warrant for Bourque after officers responded to a call on March 5 concerning Bourque - who was off duty - and a female. A report was filed and sent to the Lafayette Parish District Attorneys office, says Youngsville Police Chief Rickey Boudreaux in a statement to KPEL News. Officers applied for and were granted a probable cause warrant signed by a district judge. The accused was arrested without incident. No further information on this matter will be released.
