Leo Leroy Jack is dead after family members told Lafayette PD they found him that way inside an apartment in 700 block of S. College Road around noon Thursday.
Lafayette Gas Station Robbed Early Saturday Morning
Lafayette Police are looking for whoever robbed a gas station in the 4000 block of W. Congress Street before 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
LPD spokesperson Senior Corporal Bridgette Dugas says a male suspect, believed to be Hispanic, went inside the store brandishing a handgun wearing all black with a black bandana over his face, and red tennis shoes. Dugas says the suspect demanded money from the register along with cigarettes.
The suspect then ran away and was last seen on foot near the 500 block of Guilbeau Road.

Lafayette Police are working two shootings that happened in the city since last night.
The first happened at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday night in the 300 block of Gladys Avenue.
Officers were called to the area after residents heard gunshots. They found a man in the road, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in critical but stable condition. Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and have no suspect to identify at this time, a spokeswoman said.
Earlier today, police were called to the 100 block of Harmony Street at about 11 a.m. They found a female juvenile who had been shot. She s in stable condition at a local hospital. The suspect is a male juvenile who fled the scene before police arrived. This investigation also is continuing.
