The Katsina State Police Command has banned the annual Ramadan “TASHE” festive activities for security reasons across the state.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isah stated this in a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Katsina.
The statement said the command observes that unscrupulous criminal elements known as “Kauraye” are taking advantage of the season to perpetrate their heinous crimes such as armed robbery, extortion, housebreaking and theft in the state.
The Command, therefore, warned all parents to look after their wards as any person found disguising under “Tashe” to commit a crime will be arrested and dealt with in accordance with the extant laws of the state.
