Two men arrested in connection with a drugs seizure in Longford on Monday afternoon have been released without charge.
The men were detained by Gardai after a car was stopped and searched by members of the Roscommon/Longford Divisional Drugs Unit on the N63 in Longford town at midday yesterday.
Cannabis herb worth an estimated €20,000 was seized by Gardai and a man in his late teen and another man in his 20s were arrested and questioned at Longford garda station.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the seizure of €20,000 worth of suspected cannabis herb in Longford town.
Members of the Roscommon/Longford Divisional Drugs Unit carried out the search of a car on the N63 in Longford town at midday today. During the course of the search a quantity of suspected cannabis herb was discovered in the car and seized. This is estimated to be worth €20,000.

Gardaí have seized approximately €20,000 worth of suspected cannabis herb following the search of a car in Longford town today, Monday April 26, 2021.
Members of the Roscommon/Longford Divisional Drugs Unit carried out the search of a car on the N63 in Longford town at midday today.
During the course of the search a quantity of suspected cannabis herb was discovered in the car and seized. This is estimated to be worth €20,000 (pending analysis).

Gardaí in Granard seize €8,000 worth of cannabis plants in Moyne

Gardaí in Granard have seized a quantity of cannabis with an estimated street value of €8,000, following the search of a property in Moyne under Section 26 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Gardaí connected to the Roscommon/Longford Divisional Drugs Unit searched the property at approximately 5pm yesterday evening, April 15.
During the course of the search, they recovered ten suspected cannabis plants in varying stages of growth, with a value of €8,000 (pending forensic analysis). Also recovered was a quantity of cannabis for personal use.
One man in his 30s was arrested at the location for offences contrary to Section 17 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
