The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called out after a shooting in Burnaby Saturday left a man dead.
IHIT confirmed it has taken over the investigation into the shooting, which happened at 7 p.m. near 13th Avenue and 6th Street.

Passersby tried to help the injured man, but IHIT said that after being taken to hospital, he “has since died of his injuries.”
Burnaby RCMP said in an earlier tweet to “expect a police presence in the area as we continue to investigate.”
