LaSalle County Health Department expands COVID-19 vaccination eligibility to 12+

May 14, 2021 OTTAWA- The LaSalle County Health Department will expand COVID-19 vaccination clinic eligibility to individuals 12-15 years of age. Appointments are now available for Saturday clinics at the LaSalle County Health Department in Ottawa. The health department has also partnered with local high schools in larger communities to hold COVID-19 vaccination clinics this summer. If additional appointments are available, other community residents that are still in need of vaccination will be able to attend. Local Weather

Walk-Ins welcome Wednesday at Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic

  OTTAWA – The “One and Done” Johnson and Johnson (J&J) COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic being held at Illinois Valley Community College on Wednesday will be open to walk-ins.  The clinic is open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and then will reopen from 1:45-5:30 p.m. Individuals must be 18 years old. If you have insurance, it’s advised to bring that with you. You will not be denied a vaccine if you do not have insurance.   The LaSalle County Health Department is holding this COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic in partnership with the Illinois National Guard. LaSalle County reports 300th COVID-19 related death

May 6, 2021 OTTAWA – Officials at the LaSalle County Health Department reported that the county has seen its 300th COVID-19 related death on Thursday. The individual was a female in her 80’s and is the 2nd coronavirus related death seen in the county this week. The LCHD also confirmed 40 new cases of COVID-19 with 86 more recoveries. In total, there have been 10,379 recoveries out of the 12,487 confirmed cases. Local Weather
