According to the LaSalle County Sheriff’s department, on Tuesday night just before 10 p.m., Sheridan and Sandwich Police were called to the 800 block of West Church Street for an attempted break-in of the residence. The caller stated the windows of the residence had allegedly been shot out.  The victim, 37-year-old Janelle Johnson, who was injured from glass fragments as a result of the gunshots, stated to authorities she believed the suspect was her ex-husband.
