The St. Landry Crime Stoppers needs help from the public in solving a homicide in Eunice.
On May 5, 2021, officers were en route to shots fired call when they were informed of a body at the intersection of Nimitz Street and Williams Avenue. When the officers arrived, the victim had already been transported to a local hospital where the victim died.
Video footage was recovered from a nearby convenience store that revealed several persons of interest. Crime Stoppers need help in identifying the person seen in the video.

St. Landry Crime Stoppers needs help from the public in locating three wanted sex offenders.
Austin Romero, 27, was convicted in 2013 of indecent behavior with a juvenile under the age of 12 years old. Romero left a group home in Arnaudville and quit his employment then failed to notify law enforcement. Romero is wanted for failure to register and notify as a sex offender or child predator and duty of Offenders to Notify Law Enforcement of a Change of Address, or other Registration Information.
Joseph Babineaux, 42, was convicted of rape in 2005. Babineaux has had multiple arrests since being released from jail for violating sex offender laws. Babineaux is wanted for third offense failure to register as a sex offender or child predator.

UPDATE: The St. Landry Parish Sheriff s Office says that two of the four wanted fugitives have been arrested.
34-year-old Eric Cary was arrested and booked on three counts of drug charges and resisting an officer and 54-year-old Marty Hargroder was arrested and booked on three counts of illegal possession of stolen things.
The sheriff s Office and Opelousas Police Department are still looking for the following individuals:
Kaleb Morris Cormier, 24, is wanted by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff s Office for the theft of a firearm.
Glenn Thomas Babineaux, 37, is wanted by the Opelousas Police Department on three counts of drug charges, resisting an officer, and traffic warrants.
