More than 300 items have been recovered and a suspect under arrested in connection with thefts from a local storage facility.
Carencro Police say that in January of 2021, officers began investigating multiple burglaries that occurred at the Red Dot Storage on Smalley Road in Carencro.
During the investigation, they were able to obtain the identity of the suspect, 44-year-old David Corey Bell.
As the investigation progressed, Carencro Police say they worked with several agencies, obtained search warrants throughout several parishes, and recovered more than 300 items believed to be stolen and valued at nearly $100,000.

1 Arrested, 1 Wanted In Opelousas Armed Robbery, Shooting
One person is in custody and another is wanted in connection with a shooting.
Opelousas police arreted Deandra Weston on attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery charges. Markenta Williams, of Mamou, is wanted on the same charges.
Investigators say that shooting happened early Wednesday morning near Sidney Street. Wetston and Williams are accused of robbing the victim at gunpoint and stealing his money before shooting him in the back. The victim took himself to the hospital. Police described his injuries as serious.
Police arrested Weston early this morning with the help of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff s Office and the sheriff s SWAT unit. He remains in the St. Landry Parish Jail.
