GWINNETT COUNTY, GA A Gwinnett County high school has been rated among the top 10 in the nation, according to a new ranking by U.S. News and World Report.
In addition to being ranked first in Georgia, Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology in Lawrenceville is ranked ninth nationwide.
Statewide, one other Gwinnett school made the top 20: North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee at 17.

Submitted ArtWaco OâGuin, who grew up in Lanier County, is a co-creator of the animated Netflix series âParadise PD.â The third season of Paradise PD was released this past weekend.
VALDOSTA â A South Georgia native s latest season of an animated series debuted this past weekend on Netflix.
And he has recently inked an exclusive creative agreement with the entertainment streaming service.
The latest season of Paradise PD dropped March 12 on Netflix. Paradise PD follows the antics of a small-town police department.
OâGuin lives in Burbank, Calif., but he grew up in Lakeland.
O Guin and Roger Black became creative partners in 1999 while students at the University of Georgia. They developed a comedy routine which led to the MTV sketch comedy show âStankervision.â
Bottled water will be offered to residents still in need at several locations in Jackson Tuesday.
Capital City Beverages, though a donation from MolsonCoors Beverage Company, will offer more than 37,000 bottles of water across seven sites from noon to 2 p.m.

Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 655 Beasley Road
Virgie P. Middleton Community Center at Presidential Hills, 3971 Flag Chapel Road
Lanier High School, 833 Maple St.
Lynch Street Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 2175 Lynch St.
Jackson Fire Station #23, 2640 Raymond Road
Prince of Peace Word Fellowship, 1112 Cooper Road
Capital City Beverages and MolsonCoors are the latest organizations who have offered water to the city in the wake of the water crisis that has left thousands under a boil water advisory for weeks.
