LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) Saturday night, around 7:30 pm a 16-year-old male with an outstanding warrant was spotted inside Walmart, 2500 Jamie Lane.
Officers with the Lincoln Police Department (LPD) arrived at the retail store to take the teen into custody, but the teen did not go quietly.
According to LPD, the teen punched one officer multiple times in the face to get away. After a short chase officers were able to take him into custody.
While being led to the police cruiser, the teen kicked the back of the car, causing $1,000 in damage to a camera system installed on the back of the vehicle.

Authorities in Lancaster County are seeking a 29-year-old man who damaged a Pennsylvania State Police car during a riot that broke out following an officer-involved shooting.
Pennsylvania State Police officers had been called to the 300 block of Laurel Street for crowd control after the shooting in Lancaster around 5:05 p.m. Sept. 13, 2020, Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers said.
Patrol car J1-15 was parked near Laurel Street and Union Street when Hector Manuel Rodriguez Jr. damaged it, police said.
Rodriguez was identified in live streams posted to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram, authorities said.
He is currently wanted by PSP and the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office on the following charges:
The Lancaster County Sheriffâs Office began accepting applications online earlier this month.
Applicants will still go through the same background checks as before, but the new system cuts out the need for a visit to the county courthouse, Chief Deputy Christopher Riggs explained.
Lancaster has roughly 55,000 concealed carry permit holders and is one of eight counties switching to accepting online applications in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The system is run by a company named Permitium, which according to its website is a North Carolina-based company which provides processing support for various types of permits, as well as vital records and fingerprints. It says it is currently working in over 200 counties and has helped process over 900,000 carry permits.
