After a school staff member tested positive for the COVID-19 virus in the Western Health region last week, and the teachers union had questions about clear guidelines in Harbour Breton after a cluster of cases, there is some anxiety swirling for people with school-age children.

Retired teachers in Newfoundland and Labrador can now work up to 90 days a year without seeing their pensions clawed back, a change made to the province s Teachers Pension Plan to combat a shortage of substitute teachers.
