Expanded hours at COVID-19 assessment centres in Lambton have made a difference, but delays remain amid high demand and appointment no-shows, local health officials say.
“It’s just another reminder to folks – sometimes people are booking multiple sites and not going back in to cancel,” said Bluewater Health vice-president Laurie Zimmer, “and then all of those sites have the appointments blocked and people can’t get access.”

She estimated about 10 per cent of appointments per day are no-shows, noting current wait times are about a day after booking.
