LAURENTIAN VALLEY – The Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating the theft of a grey 2018 Arctic Cat Pantera 6000 snowmobile. The snowmobile was stolen from the lot of an automotive dealer on Pembroke Street West in Laurentian Valley Township during the overnight hours of Jan. 30-31, 2021.

PETAWAWA Three local youths are facing several charges after they refused to pull over after police attempted to stop them for speeding.
According to the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), on Friday, Jan. 29 at approximately 1:30 p.m., officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a speeding vehicle with three occupants on Highway 17. Police said the vehicle failed to stop and turned on to Black Bay Road in the Town of Petawawa. Police added they did not engage in a pursuit.
LAURENTIAN VALLEY – A prohibited driver is facing several charges after being stopped by police.
On Jan. 15, at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in Laurentian Valley Township (LVTP).

The driver was found to be prohibited from driving and violations under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA) were noted.
As a result of this incident Donald Daniel Groves, 34 of Laurentian Valley, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and CAIA offences:
