17 new cases of COVID-19 reported in St Lawrence County today

Tuesday, March 16, 2021 - 5:39 pm Seventeen new cases of COVID-19 were reported to St. Lawrence County Public Health today (Tuesday, March 16), bringing the total number of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases to-date to 6,488. One hundred ten cases are active; visit https://www.stlawco.org/ to check out the COVID-19 Cases by Town map layouts. To date, 6,286 cases have been released from isolation. Six cases are hospitalized. Ninety-two deaths have occurred; this fatality data comes from the New York State Department of Health and was last updated on March 16 before 2 p.m. Public Health said 242,131 COVID-19 tests have been performed as of March 15; this testing data comes from the New York State Department of Health and was last updated on March 16 before 2 p.m.

St Lawrence County not seeing new COVID cases, hospitalizations among the vaccinated: doctor

Saturday, March 13, 2021 - 5:56 pm BY ANDY GARDNER North Country This Week A top public health doctor in St. Lawrence County says they’re not seeing people who have gotten the COVID-19 vaccine ending up hospitalized with the illness. Dr. Andrew Williams, president of the county Board of Health, talked with the Board of Legislators Finance Committee during their Monday, March 8 meeting. “We have not had anyone hospitalized in SLC who’s been vaccinated . another endorsement of the effectiveness of the vaccine,” Dr. Williams said. “We really are not seeing people who are vaccinated turn positive on their testing. We’re really not seeing it.”
