Buford, Mary Katherine (Dalton)
Mother Mary Katherine Buford, age 85, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021. She was born March 5, 1935. She was a graduate of Emery Street School and was a licensed LPN. She retired as a nurse supervisor at Central State Hospital. She was a Matron and served on the Mothers Board at New Hope Baptist Church. She was a co-founder of Living Word of God Church in Milledgeville, Ga. She was a member of the Womans Community Club and loved traveling. She was proudly presented the “Key to the City of Dalton” by Mayor David Pennington. She was preceded by her father, Warren Jones, mother, Georgia Mae Bates, brothers, Melvin Jones and Joseph Jones, and sister, Janice Mays.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 7, from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery.
