ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST (CNS) - A brush fire sparked by a burning vehicle that scorched about 50 acres in the Angeles National Forest was 35% contained today, officials said.
The Antonio Fire was reported to be burning in about a half-acre of medium brush just before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Glendora Ridge Road and Mount Baldy Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The fire quickly traveled uphill and was reported to be at about 10 acres by 2:40 p.m., causing the closure of Mount Baldy Road and the Claremont Wilderness Park

14 Freeway Brush Fire In Santa Clarita Impacts Traffic
A first-alarm response was requested Tuesday afternoon for a 14 Freeway brush fire in Santa Clarita, officials said.
UPDATE (7:30 p.m.): Forward progression of the Princess Fire has been stopped at three acres, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Department.

Around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, emergency responders received reports of a vegetation fire, on the southbound 14 Freeway near Via Princessa in Santa Clarita, according to Miguel Ornelas, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Santa Clarita Crash
A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital Tuesday, after colliding with a vehicle in a Santa Clarita crash.
Around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision on Alta Vista Avenue and Copper Hill Drive in Saugus, said Henry Narvaez, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It was a motorcycle versus a vehicle,” he said.
As a result of the crash, one person was transported to the hospital in unknown condition, according to Fire officials.
The intersection of Alta Vista and Copper Hill Drive was briefly blocked as crews cleared the crash.
Man Pronounced Dead At Rodeway Inn In Santa Clarita
A man was pronounced dead Tuesday afternoon at the Rodeway Inn in Santa Clarita, officials said.
Around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, emergency responders received reports of a medical emergency at the Rodeway Inn just off of Castaic Road in Castaic, according to Miguel Ornelas, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“We got the call at 4:40 for a medical response,” Ornelas said. “No transports were made.”
The initial call came in as a reported unconscious person, who was later confirmed to be a man found dead on arrival, according to officials on scene.

Firefighting helicopters were deployed to aid fire crews in dousing the blaze.
No structures were threatened by the fire.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department initially responded to a call of a car fire near Glendora Ridge Road and Mount Baldy Road in the Angeles National Forest Tuesday afternoon.
The fire, dubbed as Antonio Fire, is holding at about 50 acres, according to the Angeles National Forest.
