WEST HOLLYWOOD The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday, April 29 that five people were charged today for their alleged roles in the shooting of a dog walker in February.
“This was a brazen street crime that left a man seriously wounded,” said District Attorney Gascón. “We have alleged very serious charges in this case and have faith that justice will be appropriately served as this case unfolds in court.”
James Howard Jackson, 18, Jaylin Keyshawn White, 19, and Lafayette Shon Whaley, 27, were charged with one count each of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit robbery and second-degree robbery. Jackson is also facing one count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and a felon carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle. White faces one count of assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury.

Just last week, five people were arrested in connection with the dognapping. The alleged culprits were arrested on charges that include attempted murder and robbery, ET confirmed.

Jersey Shore star, who was arrested more than a week prior for alleged domestic violence, reportedly will not face charges over the case.
Prosecutors at the Los Angeles County District Attorney s Office were unable to pursue any further criminal action against the 35-year-old because they didn t have sufficient evidence. TMZ reported that the case has been forwarded to the L.A. City Attorney s Office.

LOS ANGELES (CN) The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office charged a 57-year-old man Tuesday with sparking a fire last summer that badly damaged the historic Mission San Gabriel church in Southern California.
Prosecutors say John David Corey broke into the 250-year-old Mission San Gabriel on July 11, 2020, and set off a fire in the church that began to swell after 4:20 a.m.
