Xavier James Pabon is a 30-year-old Puerto Rican father who decided to join a protest against Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip after his boss showed him pictures of dead Palestinian children being pulled from rubble after an Israeli airstrike.
In May, he joined a caravan of cars that drove past the storefronts and restaurants lining North La Cienega Boulevard, waving Palestinian flags and shouting anti-Israel comments through a loudspeaker.
At a sidewalk table at one of those restaurants, Mher Hagopian, a Beirut-born wedding photographer, was chatting with some Jewish clients when a caravan of vehicles, including the one Pabon was in, idled at a long red light outside the restaurant.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark was formally charged Friday nearly four months after he was arrested in Beverly Hills, California, on suspicion of possessing an assault weapon.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney s office confirmed to 41 Action News Friday that Clark faces one felony count of possession of an assault weapon in connection to an arrest made in March by the California Highway Patrol.
A spokesperson in the district attorney s office says Clark is set to be arraigned on the charge on Monday, July 12.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney s office on Friday charged Clark with one felony count of possession of an assault weapon, a district attorney spokesman told The Kansas City Star. The charge stems from Clark s arrest on March 13 by the California Highway Patrol, as reported by The Star s Sam McDowell.
