Retaliation Has Begun Against Deputy DA Who Publicly Called George Gascon Out

AP Photo/Damian Dovarganes Los Angeles County Deputy DA Jonathan Hatami has been the voice of hundreds of his colleagues since George Gascon was sworn in as District Attorney on December 7, speaking out against Gascon’s Special Directives on numerous talk radio and television news shows. Appearing on Fox & Friends on Thursday, Hatami basically ripped Gascon a new one. Many people in states other than California blame Gascon’s win on liberal or uninformed California voters (forgetting that there are Soros DA’s across the country), but Hatami says the full scope of Gascon’s “reform” agenda wasn’t clear to the public:

$1 Million Settlement Reached in Santa Monica Hotel Case

Canyon News SANTA MONICA- On Wednesday, December 16, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office announced that the owners of a Santa Monica hotel agreed to a settlement of one million dollars.  Sunshine Enterprises violated California law by falsely representing to the California Coastal Commission that its proposed construction of the Shore Hotel would replace the two older lower-cost motels formerly on the property, with low or moderate cost lodging, according to the civil complaint. “The planning and permitting process ensures our community has the opportunity to provide input into what our neighborhoods look and feel like for decades to come. When that process is subverted, some of us are making decisions for all of us,” said Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón in an official statement.

ADL Urges New District Attorney Not to Reduce Hate Crime Enhancers

ADL Urges New District Attorney Not to Reduce Hate Crime Enhancers Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon (Photo by Justin Sullivan/Getty Images) Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Los Angeles Regional Director Jeffrey Abrams urged newly sworn-in Los Angeles District Attorney (DA) George Gascón not to reduce enhancers for hate crimes. Enhancers, also known as aggravating factors, result in more prison time if new incriminating evidence is uncovered. Gascón announced on December 7, the day he was sworn into office, a series of new policies, including that he would be getting rid of enhancers across the board. Abrams wrote that the ADL was “concerned” about this and asked Gascón to clarify if the new directive would also apply to hate crimes.

Should Resisting Arrest be a felony?

Should Resisting Arrest be a felony? ) December 15th, 2020 Most cases of police killing individuals involve the victim resisting arrest by running, or fighting back. In California resting arrest is a misdemeanor, which will not be prosecuted by the new Los Angeles District Attorney, Mr Gascone. Perhaps, if it were made a felony, Gascone’s hands will be tied… No. The question seems written as if fighting the police isn’t prosecuted. Assaulting a police officer is a different and more serious infraction, I’m sure. “This sounds like paradise!”? Of course not. A drunk, unable to stand up is vulnerable to a charge of resisting arrest, as is the man who simply utters the phrase “fuck off pig!” What is it with the right and its never ending ambition to advocate a draconian police state?
