Lincoln County Evacuation Orders The Kootenai National Forest says evacuations are underway in Lincoln County where the South Yaak Fire has spread northward. According to an incident update from the Kootenai National Forest around 1:30 this afternoon, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is evacuating residents on East side Road, west of the fire. The Sheriff s office says the mandatory evacuation order for Eastside Road near Troy only applies to residences north of mile marker 3. Affected residents in that area will be contacted by deputies. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says it’s receding the mandatory evaluation order for Kilbrennan Lake Road. Residents there remain in a pre-evacuation status and must be prepared to evacuate if requested.

Burnt Peak, South Yaak wildfire update inciweb and last updated 2021-07-26 18:08:49-04 TROY â The Burnt Peak Fire in Lincoln County grew 300 acres on Sunday with the increased temperatures and gusty winds. The lightning-sparked blaze is 9 miles southwest of Troy and has now burned 2,715 acres and is 19% contained Most of the fire activity occurred on the west side where the fire made an uphill run to the top of Burnt Peak, producing an impressive smoke column, according to the Monday update. Fire crews will continue to hold the south perimeter of the fire at the Keeler/Rattle Road and east while firefighters on the northeast will work to keep the fire west of Pony Mountain.
