In April, 15 people from ten local businesses received training that provided them with tools to help reduce underage drinking and drunk driving. The Responsible Alcohol Seller/Server Training is sponsored by the Healthy Lincoln County Substance Use.
GLEASON, WI (WSAU) â A Gleason woman who called 911 to report a possible intruder last week was relieved to find it was nothing more than a potential Thanksgiving dinner trying to get into her home.
Sheriffâs officers say they received a call from a woman who was concerned about strange noises coming from her basement. She then left the home.
When deputies arrived they also reported hearing strange noises and went to the basement to investigate. Instead of finding a person, they found a turkey pecking away at a window.
A news release from the Lincoln County Sheriffâs Office did not disclose what happened to the turkey.

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. A Gastonia man is facing several child sex crime charges stemming from an investigation into inappropriate messages sent to two underage girls.
On April 16, Lincoln County deputies say they received the report regarding the obscene images and messages sent to two minor children. The Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center interviewed both of the girls, who both shared details about inappropriate contact between them and 21-year-old Joshua Tyler Gray. Both of the victims were known by him, according to deputies.
The sheriff s office says one victim said Gray encouraged her to leave her house with him in the middle of the night on multiple occasions. Gray is accused of driving her to different locations to have sex with her before taking her back to her home.

UPDATE #8: Officials on Sunday said the Three Rivers Fire burning near Ruidoso had reached 19% containment, while now estimating the size of the blaze at 7,119 acres.
Mapping of the fire after an aerial reconnaissance flight showed multiple lingering fires inside the perimeter continue to burn. (and) there are still areas of combustion and smoke.
Forestry officials warned that a combination of warm temperatures, very low humidity, and strong winds on Sunday afternoon could increase the threat posed by the fire.
In addition, officials said winds gusts from the southwest could lead to an increase in smoke - with people being able to see and smell it especially in the northeast area of Ruidoso.
