Auction Action: 100+ Photos from McCormick’s of Palm Springs Johnny Hunkins © Hot Rod Network Staff 001-palm-springs-auto-auction-tent-corvette-stingray For 35 years, McCormick s of Palm Springs, California, has been the Coachella Valley s nexus for collectible classic automobiles, and their brick-and-mortar dealership on North Indian Canyon Drive is a local landmark in the downtown area. Twice each year (in November and February during the desert s peak season), McCormick s holds a blockbuster car auction that brings in sellers, buyers, dealers, and the best cars in the area in addition to the normal inventory from the McCormick s dealership. This was our first time visiting the McCormick Auction, and based on what we experienced, we should ve visited this classic car honey hole a long time ago. This was McCormick s 70th such auction (see results below) and was held this February 26 to 28, 2021.
