In The Heights: Eight New Character Posters Revealed

Lin-Manuel Miranda Broadway adaptation, directed by
Jon M. Chu. After ruling last summer with the release of
Hamilton on Disney+, Miranda will look to do it again with
In The Heights, about a melting pot neighborhood on Washington Heights in New York. The show won numerous awards and will be the musical highlight of the year for sure, and I am so glad that it will not only release on HBO Max, but in theaters. There is something special about a big musical number on the big screen. You can see the new posters down below.

CAAMFest Festival and Exhibitions Director Masashi Niwano admits to mixed feelings as he counts down to the annual event that celebrates Asian American and world cinema that launches on Thursday, May 13. Hopes for an in-person festival were dashed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, a virtual event along with three nights at the Fort Mason Flix Drive-in will have to do for the film festival’s 39th edition.
“It’s been a unique year for all of us. But we’re happy we can at least pull this festival off,” he says. “Ultimately having the filmmakers’ voices heard is the most important thing.”
Thanks to streaming some titles will be available to Canadians this summer movie season, while others depend on theatres opening or studios releasing their films digitally

20th Century Fox/Disney
Disney and ABC have sold out advertising for this year’s Academy Awards, and the ceremony will do something rare for the Oscars by premiering three exclusive trailers during the broadcast.
Among the three trailers will be for 20th Century Studios’ “West Side Story” directed by Steven Spielberg, which will be the first look at the film after it was delayed from release at the end of last year. They’ll also premiere a new look at “In the Heights” based on Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Broadway musical and a trailer for “Summer of Soul,” Questlove’s documentary that premiered at Sundance and will be released by Searchlight Pictures.
