Man charged in fatal shooting found competent to stand trial A man charged last year in a fatal Tallahassee shooting has been found competent to stand trial. Jonathan Andrews, 35, was charged with second-degree murder in the March 21 shooting death of Juarez Castro, 40. Castro was taken to a local hospital after the shooting near Barineau Road and later died. Andrews allegedly shot Castro during an argument over money, according to an arrest report. Deputies with the Leon County Sheriff s Office apprehended him shortly after the shooting at a nearby mobile home park. Last May, Andrews was found incompetent to proceed because of mental illness and taken to Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee. Last week, he was taken back to the Leon County Detention Facility after another mental-health evaluation.

Mickelsen, 36, was released on a $1,000 bond on Wednesday. He was wanted on a misdemeanor charge of battery or strike. FSU police obtained a warrant earlier this month for Mickelsen in connection to an incident that occurred in late January. An FSU student told police she and another woman were walking back to campus from the 400 block of West College Avenue when they encountered a man, later identified as Mickelsen. He allegedly followed the women back to Landis Hall where he touched one of the women on the buttocks without her consent.
