RENSSELAER â The finish line is coming into focus for Rensselaer Central High School officials.
Despite the threat of COVID lurking around every corner on a daily basis, RCHS principal AJ Jones said in-person learning at the high school was disrupted once just before Christmas.
Students were released a few days early for Christmas break due to a rise in COVID numbers in the county and contact tracing.
âI want to say how proud I am of our students and our staff for managing this school year,â Jones told the RCSC school board during a year in review session this month. âIn conversations with a lot of my peers across the state, locally, building principals ⦠weâve been very fortunate.
BATESVILLE – The Ripley County Community Foundation (RCCF) recognizes the service of two out-going Board Members, Steve Huff and Bill Narwold.
Per policy, both gentlemen are stepping down after serving their maximum number of terms. With this, the board of directors will gain three new creative members: Megan Gray, Ben Peetz and Jill Tunny.
The board of directors determine, monitor and strengthen the RCCF’s programs and services, while also managing resources effectively and providing guidance and support to employees within the organization. The board is composed of community members that represent all areas of Ripley County, and each member can serve two, three-year terms. The officers of the board of directors include a president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Four Rising Sun High School senior students have been named as the 2021 recipients of the Ohio County Community Foundation Scholarship administered by the Ohio County Community Foundation.
Chloe Fletcher, Emma Taylor, Ashlee Turner and Madalyn Wilson will each receive a $4,000 scholarship for being named Ohio County Community Foundation Scholars. The scholarship will be paid up to $1,000 a year over four consecutive years of study and may be used at any post-secondary educational institution such as a technical school, a community college or a four-year college or university. The scholarship must be used for books and/or tuition.
