McCrory elected to lead Triathlon Canada Board Thursday, 11 February 2021
Peter McCrory has been elected to lead Triathlon Canada’s Board of Directors, the national governing body has announced.
The British-born administrator replaces Les Pereira who stepped down from the Board of Directors last week.
McCrory will be tasked with helping to ensure more high-performance triathletes feature on the international podium while providing an accessible and safe opportunity for all Canadians to participate in triathlon.
He has served as chair of Triathlon Canada’s Governance Committee since 2019 and is currently director of the Olympic Oval at the University of Calgary.
McCrory has been credited with helping the Olympic Oval to achieve operational delivery of more than CAD$4 million (£2.2 million/$3.1 million/€2.6 million) in revenue for the Repsol Sport Centre.
