Inset Pic: Google Street View A MAN has been charged with dangerous driving, a drug supply offence and possession of criminal property after crashing into a wall. Shabaz Choudhry, 42, of Byron Street in Bradford has been charged in connection with a collision that happened in Apperley Lane on Tuesday evening. He was remanded to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court today to face charges of: dangerous driving, possession of criminal property and possession of cocaine with intent to supply. Emergency services rushed to Apperley Lane on Tuesday, at around 8.45pm, after a BMW had hit a wall near the road s junction with Cliffe Drive, causing the structure to collapse.
A MAN has been sentenced after being caught with a knuckleduster. Michalko Farkas, 22, of Pembrook Street, West Bowling, appeared before Leeds Magistrates’ Court on May 8, pleading guilty on that day to a charge of possessing an offensive weapon. He was caught with the knuckleduster on September 28, 2019 at Tudor Court, Swarland Grove, off Manchester Road. The block of flats is among those which has now been demolished. Farkas was given a 12-month conditional discharge, but was ordered to pay a £21 surcharge and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, totalling £106. This will be paid at £5 per week. The court also ordered the forfeiture of the knuckleduster.
