, a new national initiative to publicly report and recognize hospitals for preventing patient harm due to diagnostic errors. Developed in collaboration with The Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine (SIDM) and key experts, the project is funded with a two-year grant of $1.2 million by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.
BID-Plymouth hospital earns top grades for patient safety and care

PLYMOUTH – BID Plymouth hospital has once again been honored with an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade by The Leapfrog Group.
Leapfrog, an independent national watchdog organization committed to health care quality and safety, assigns a letter grade of ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’ or ‘F’ to more than 2,600 general hospitals across the country every six months.
The grade is based on a hospital’s performance in preventing medical errors, injuries, accidents, infections and other harms to patients in their care.
Leapfrog gave the ‘A’ grade to BID-Plymouth for providing safe care and protecting patients from harm in the fall. The hospital has received ‘A’ grades from the group since 2017.
