Louisiana OMV Says Watch Out for Scam Registration Sites Get our free mobile app I swear - for everybody trying to make an honest dollar, there s at least 3 people trying to scam said person out of that dollar!  The latest example is coming to us via the internet.  No surprise there, millions of con-artists are fleecing tons of gullible people out of their hard earned money as you read this! According to American Press, now you have to watch your digital wallet when you try to register your vehicle in the state of Louisiana.  The Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) is warning residents to be on the lookout for third-party websites who claim to facilitate your registration.  The official statement the OMV released on Monday says that these websites are not affiliated with any state government agency and are owned by for-profit companies.
