2021-22 COES Graduate Council elected

Louisiana Tech University’s College of Engineering and Science (COES) graduate students have elected the 2021-22 COES Graduate Council. 2021 – 22 COES Graduate Student Council members are (from left) Md Tanbin Hasan Mondal (president), Rifat-E-Nur Hossain (public relations officer), Winner Anigbogu (vice president), Omar Shahrear Apu (treasurer), and MD Shafayet Alam (secretary). Gov. John Bel Edwards announced his appointments to several Louisiana boards and commissions.   Louisiana State Arts Council The Louisiana State Arts Council receives applications for matching federal funds available from the National Endowment for the Arts and such other funds made available to the council and make recommendations thereon. The Council reviews and approves or rejects said grant applications from other governmental units, community arts councils, and other private, nonprofit, and tax-exempt groups. Additionally, the Council advises departmental officers on the design and execution of an annual state plan consistent with the goals and policies of the department as provided by federal and state law, rules, and regulations, and submits the plan to the National Endowment for the Arts.

Nebraska wins the 2021 NC bowling championship

The winners of each regional will advance to the NCAA championship. The championship matches will be played April 9-10. Both regional and championship rounds will be played at AMF Pro Bowl Lanes in North Kansas City, Missouri. The University of Central Missouri and Kansas City Sports Commission are the hosts. The regional and championship brackets will be double-elimination, with each round consisting of a best-of-three match that includes the use of three team game formats- baker total pin fall, five-person team match and a best-of-seven baker match play. Regional competition will conclude with one team from each regional bracket advancing to compete in the championship. The champion will be determined using a best-of-seven baker match play. The championship final will air at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time, Saturday, April 10 on ESPNU.
