SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Many people at the Louisiana State Fair Grounds voiced their thoughts Wednesday, March 10 just one day after Gov. John Bel Edwards announced greatly expanded eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccine.

Many people say they’re excited to get the shot now that they’re eligible, but some are also questioning the “honor system” the state is now operating under when it comes to qualifying for the vaccine.
Behavioral health providers and staff Urgent care clinic providers and staff Community care providers and staff Dental providers and staff Non-emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) providers and staff Professional home care providers (including hospice workers) and home care recipients (including older and younger people with disabilities over the age of 16 who receive community or home-based care, as well as clients of home health agencies) Interpreters and Support Service Providers (SSPs) working in community and clinic-based settings, and clients who are both deaf and blind Health-related support personnel (lab staff, mortuary staff who have contact with corpses, pharmacy staff)

A new mass vaccination site on Saturday at the Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier City highlights the list of places where you can get a COVID-19 vaccination this week.
LSU Health Shreveport, in partnership with Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, will have a mass vaccination at the arena on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Teachers, support staff and daycare workers will have two dedicated lanes at the Brookshire’s site on Saturday from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m.
