Former Bradford County Coroner Thomas Carman, who resigned abruptly last week after a video surfaced raising questions about possible improper conduct, could also face criminal charges in Pennsylvania.
An investigator with the Luzerne County District Attorney s Office confirmed it is actively investigating Carman based on the video and accompanying text messages.
Carman did not offer a reason for the resignation, but he was the subject of a recent YouTube videoshot by Musa Harris, of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, who calls himself the Luzerne County Predator Catcher.
Carman, who has extensive training in forensic medicine and death investigations, has been a high-profile figure in Bradford County for years, often announcing details of suspicious or accidental deaths before law enforcement agencies.
