A suspect has been charged in connection with the shooting at West County Center mall on Friday. Jaymes Mays, 22, faces three counts of unlawful use of a weapon, according to charging documents released Monday by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney s Office.  Mays and another person got into a physical fight and a Glock pistol fell out of Mays bag, the documents state. He picked up the pistol and pointed it at another person s head. He then fired toward the Apple Store. Officers found bullet fragments and shell casings matching the ammunition inside the Glock.

According to police, Bobby McCulley III shot and killed his 34-year-old wife Roseann, her 13-year-old son Kayden Johnson and her 6-year-old daughter Kaylee Brooks just before midnight in the 4800 block of Lockwig Trail. Court documents show McCulley had filed for divorce just days before the killings. After the shooting, police say he abducted his one-year-old daughter from the home.

Dash cam video of a shooting involving a Webster Groves police officer on I-44 in May was released Monday. The entire incident was captured on the officer’s dashcam, which showed an officer pull over to check on a car that was stopped in the left lane of Interstate 44 near Elm around 8:30 p.m. on May 5, 2020. When the officer approached the car, he had his flashlight in his hand and his gun holstered at his side. According to authorities, the man inside the car, Qavon Webb, opened his car door and began shooting at the officer almost immediately.
