A 17-year-old boy has been charged with fatally shooting in the head a 24-year-old man while opening fire toward a crowd in downtown Duluth.
Patrick W. Battees Jr., of Proctor, who turns 18 in about three weeks, was charged by juvenile petition in St. Louis County District Court with intentional second-degree murder in connection with the shooting of Juamada K. Anderson, 22, of Duluth, early Saturday evening in the 100 block of E. 3rd Street.

pharmacy burglary.
Foucault, the second-ranking member in a six-officer police department, also is charged with felony theft and possession of a short-barreled shotgun.

The city of Nisswa received national attention after its mayor was arrested Aug. 29 following a profanity-laced tirade against two police officers conducting a traffic stop of a third party along Highway 371 in Nisswa.

Two men charged in Ely break-in and assault incident Posted

ELY – Two felony counts of burglary and assault were filed last week following a recent incident at Zenith Apartments involving two men, one from Ely and the other from Brooklyn Center.
Justin Charles McNulty, 24, of Ely, and Ashton, Jeremiah Swanson, 23, Brooklyn Center, were arrested and charged in St. Louis County District Court with two counts of first-degree burglary and fifth-degree assault following a Dec. 10 incident at the city’s Camp Street apartment complex.
