ST. LOUIS The COVID-19 pandemic put many routine doctor and dental appointments on hold in 2020. Vaccine news was a hopeful development on the way to life as normal for patients, doctors, nurses, and dentists.
Missouri s vaccine priority list puts all doctors and patient-facing health care workers at the top, to keep them working safely and protect their patients from exposure.

WOOD RIVER Two Madison County deaths were among the 126 COVID-19 related deaths reported Friday by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).
The IDPH identified the deceased as a man in his 80s an a woman in her 90s.
The IDPH also reported 9,277 new confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases.
Late Thursday the Madison County Health Department reported one new COVID-19 related death, a man in his 60s, to bring the county’s virus death toll to 383. As of Thursday, the county had recorded 21,810 COVID-19 cases.

ST. LOUIS Two-fifths of all of Missouri’s COVID-19 deaths were reported in the last two months of 2020, according to the state health department.
Data on the department’s COVID-19 dashboard shows that 2,369 deaths were reported in November and December. That’s about 41% of the 5,825 deaths attributed to the virus since March.
